A message from the Worshipful Master

Welcome to the Forest Villages Lodge website.

Forest Villages is a small Lodge established in March 1991 and which is a well-attended friendly lodge and one that carries out its ceremonies to the best of everyone’s ability, while recognising that the idea is to have fun and enjoy taking part in the ceremonies.

As a lodge we actively welcome visitors from other masonic lodges and provinces to join us.

We meet formally 5 times a year, on the fourth Monday of September (Installation), October, December (Usually a white table for friends and partners held on the third Monday of the month), February and April. These are held in Brockenhurst Masonic Hall, located in Brockenhurst at Grigg Lane, SO42 7PG.

We rehearse on the third Tuesday of the month at 7pm from February to November at the Brockenhurst Masonic Hall. This provides an opportunity to learn and rehearse in a relaxed and informal atmosphere, under the guidance and support of some of the more experienced members of the Lodge.

You can find information on our social events and which local charities we’ve recently supported as well as some history around when we were formed, and how we acquired our name.

Please browse through our site and get in contact, we hope you find our website interesting and informative; you can also look us up on our Facebook page – www.facebook.com/forestvillages

Founding Members

A recent photo of some of our founding members in the Brockenhurst Masonic Centre. This was a special evening where we had a presentation on the history of the lodge from the son of one of the founding members.

What is Freemasonry?

Freemasonry is a fraternal organisation with a long and complex history. Freemasonry traces its roots back to medieval stonemasons’ guilds, emphasizing qualities like skilled craftsmanship and brotherhood. Over time, it evolved into a philosophical system centered on self-improvement, morality, charity, and fellowship. Forest Villages Lodge meets in Brockenhurst in the New Forest, and is the only Taylor’s lodge of Freemasons in the New Forest.

Who are we?

Forest Villages Lodge meets at Brockenhurst Masonic Centre and was consecrated in 1991. Traditionally Lodge members have been encouraged and invited to join by close friends or family members. However, we are now looking to expand our Lodge by inviting interested members of the public who would like to increase their self-esteem, gain a new circle of friends and support local and national charities to consider joining.

The Masonic Charitable Foundation

Freemasons lodges in the New Forest and across the country are helping various charities via the masonic charitable foundation.

This was our Worshipful master receiving an award on behalf of the lodge for our donations toward the MCF.
